Fergus graduated from Edinburgh University with an M.A. in History of Art in 1995, and has been active in the art market ever since.

He initially embarked on a career in finance, during which time he joined the boards of a number of companies including Farrow & Ball, the leading luxury paints business. Following several significant discoveries at auction while building his own collection, Fergus decided to follow his life-long passion for art by forming an independent dealership in 2008.

We specialise in Old Masters, primarily 17th century Dutch and Flemish paintings, and British paintings from the 18th century. The gallery also has a growing interest in Italian, French and Spanish Old Masters, and will consider any painting of quality.
